The Tibetan Community in Switzerland and Liechtenstein (TCSL) organized a commemoration ceremony in Rikon on Saturday, September 8, 2018, on the occasion of the 58th anniversary of the Tibetan Democracy Day.

In view of the planned visit of His Holiness the Dalai Lama in Switzerland, the Tibetan Community of Switzerland and Liechtenstein (TCSL) organized an information event in Jona on 25th August 2018. The two chief speakers are Mr. Ngodup Dorje, the representative, the Office of Tibet, and Ven. GesheThupten Legmen, the abbot of Tibet Institute, Rikon.

On 7th of July 2018 to celebrate the joyous occasion of His Holiness the Dalai Lama’s 83rd Birthday an official public event was organized at the Stadthalle, Bülach. The event, starting from the afternoon 12.30 pm to 11pm, saw a wide variety of Tibetan cultural programmes. The colourful event was presented by the students of Tibetan language schools and dance troupes from different Tibetan associations based in Switzerland. The participants showcased their talents and provided a lively entertainment to the audience in the fully packed auditorium. Many from the audience were quick to appreciate the well-presented and apparent progress in presentations from the children of various Tibetan language schools.

This is to inform Tibetan living in Switzerland that Newsletter Committee of TCSL is urgently looking for volunteer as a news reporter in Tibetan, English and German Language.

Bern, 9th March 2018: Today on 9th March a group of five Tibetan organizations including Tibet Support groups as part of its ‘Europe Stands with Tibet’ initiative issued a petition to the Swiss Government highlighting prevailing challenges being faced by Tibetan diaspora in Switzerland

Bülach, 28 January 2018: Today TCSL had the honour of receiving the President of the Central Tibetan Administration (CTA) in Switzerland. Dr. Lobsang Sangay gave a public speech for the local Tibetans in Bülach.
