Organized by the Tibetan Community in Switzerland and Liechtenstein, on 25.08.2011 there was a commemoration to the 29 years old monk Tsewang Norbu, who burned himself as a sign of protest against the chinese politics and government.

DHARAMSHALA, August, 15: Tsewang Norbu, a 29-year old Tibetan monk from Nyitso monastery in Kham Kardze, eastern Tibet died today after setting himself on fire to protest Chinese rule in Tibet.

DHARAMSHALA, August 17: His Holiness the Dalai Lama arrived in Tallinn, the capital of Estonia August 16 at the invitation of the Estonian Institute of Buddhism and the Riigikogu Tibet Support Group (Estonian Parliamentary group for Tibet).

The Central Tibetan Administration is deeply saddened by the death of Tsewang Norbu who died because he had set himself on fire to draw the international community's attention to the worsening crisis in Tibet. This act of desperation is another indication of the deteriorating human rights situation in Tibet.

On Saturday, 13 August 2011, the Tibetan Community in Switzerland and Liechtenstein (TCSL) organised the annual Kalachakra Memorial Event at the Tibet Institute in Rikon. The abbot, monks of the Tibet Institute, guests of honour and approximately 80 people attended the event.

A peace march for Tibetans inside the Tibet who are suffering immensely under the Red China. "Due to the endless suffering of Tibetans inside the Tibet, I helplessly felt to stand for them so, today I by myself organized this peace march.."

His Holiness the Dalai Lama will visit Shedrub Choekhorling, Mont Salève, France on 12 August morning to consecrate the new Tibetan Buddhist Centre. Shedrub Choekhorling is officially associated with Drepung Gomang Monastery, India.
